Plus-size influencer Ashleigh Huish fights back tears as she says she has been cheated on - the latest example of being 'constantly mugged off' through her life

By SHANNON MCGUIGAN, NEWS REPORTER Published: 13:23, 30 May 2026 | Updated: 13:25, 30 May 2026 Influencer Ashleigh Huish fought back tears as she revealed she had been recently cheated on, adding that she has been 'constantly' mugged off through her life.  The 38-year-old, who has over half a million followers on Instagram, tearily told her fans that her 'life has fallen apart' amid the heartbreak.  Ms Huish from Essex skyrocketed to social media stardom during the COVID-19 pandemic after she began posting lifestyle and fashion content on TikTok - where she has a following of over 1.4million.  In an Instagram video, which has amassed nearly 100,000 likes, the mother shared that she had discovered the entire relationship.  Of her discovery while on a camping trip with her children, she said: 'What was that a week. I haven't cried yet, I haven't shouted, I haven't anything, I'm just a bit numb.'  'I cannot describe to you how perfect our relationship was, or so I thought, for it all to be a lie. I am not even sure that it hurts yet because it has not actually sunk in.'  And just seconds later, Ms Huish broke down in tears as she revealed one of her best friends was secretly trolling her online as she questioned why she had been 'consistently mugged off'.  'I never told anyone, I never told my family, my friends, and that's it, and I moved on with my life. I'm not even crying over [the cheating], I'm crying over my f***ing mate. She added: 'I'm nice to everyone all the time. I'm never horrible to anyone… I deserve good because I am good, but then I get this.' Meanwhile, British TikTok influencer Issy Oakley said: 'My angel, you’re gonna find the right person, I promise you’ve got a heart of gold.' Podcaster GK Barry added: 'So sorry Ash', as TOWIE star Saffron Lempriere said: 'I’m booking the cream tea then LY ❤️.' In support of the influencer, footballer Ella Rutherford quipped: 'I'll ride at dawn.'  However, this is not the first time Ms Huish has been unlucky in love after she previously discovered in 2024 that another woman she was dating was a convicted sex offender. She had started dating a new girlfriend called ‘Gee’- unaware that the woman was in fact Gayle Newland who was at the centre of a notorious sexual assault and exploitation case.  Huish dumped Newland after learning of her criminal past.  Newland, 34, was convicted of a string of sexual assaults in 2017 after using a £20 prosthetic penis sex toy and a blindfold to con a student into believing she was having sex with a man.
