The awkward moment occurred as the pilot radioed in to the Camarillo air traffic control radio tower in California at the same time the other pilot was talking to his spouse. 'Back to work, love you,' the first pilot was heard telling his wife. The other pilot then chimed in asking for guidance on a Tower En Route Control (TEC) route: 'Hey Camarillo tower, we love you too. So we'd like to get a TEC route, if possible, to Santa Monica.' The red-faced air traffic controller then explained: 'That's my husband flying over.' 'All right, that just got way awkward,' the pilot responded. 'That's okay, he does that sometimes,' the air traffic controller replied. The exchange took another turn as her husband chimed back in on the frequency and said: 'I'm still here.
