ALBAWABA - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that his country is in a "full-scale war with the United States, he announced Sunday in a televised speech published by the state-run news agency IRNA.
“We are in a full-scale economic, military and security war," the president said via IRNA, adding that Tehran is "ashamed" of the economic crisis
"Trump [the U.S. president] easily says that they will impose the most crushing or the most terrible sanctions on Iran," Pezeshkian noted.
He continued, saying that the government is "standing firm" and is working hard to serve the Iranians amid what he called an "unequal war".

"The enemy had assessed that if Iran falls, it will become Venezuela. Not only did it not happen, but it became a power that amazed the world with its resistance, solidarity and cohesion," the Iranian leader continued.
Tehran is working "with all our might to avoid division, conflicts and egos," he also said.
Iran and the US agreed on a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in June after the mediation of Pakistan and Qatar, ending the escalation that started in late February; however, the warring parties failed to reach a final deal as talks have since stalled.
