Pet duck 'is held down and plucked by group of knife-wielding teenagers'

Published: 22:57, 14 July 2026 | Updated: 23:13, 14 July 2026 A manhunt has been launched after a pet duck was held down by a group of knife-wielding teenagers and plucked.  The heinous attack allegedly took place at a property in the Eastchurch area of the Isle of Sheppey, in Kent, on Saturday evening. Kent Police received a call from the homeowner who reported that three young people were in her garden holding the bird down while plucking its feathers and cutting it. She reported that one of them was in possession of a knife. Now, the force has launched a manhunt for the teenagers and has asked members of the public to come forward with any CCTV footage of the incident. All three of the suspects have been described as white males aged between 14 and 15 years old.  One boy is described as being tall with blonde hair, wearing an England football shirt and chino style shorts.  The second boy is described as being of a stocky build, with dark blonde/brown hair and wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts.  Pictured: Church Road on the Isle of Sheppey where the heinous attack allegedly took place  The third boy is described as being of a slim build with blonde hair, wearing an England football shirt and blue shorts. In a statement, Kent Police said: 'Kent Police was called to a property in Church Road at about 9.37pm on Saturday 11 July 2026 after the homeowner reported that 3 young people were in her garden and were holding the duck down while plucking and cutting its feathers. She reported that one of them was in possession of a knife. 'Officers attended and are carrying out enquiries to identify the suspects. 'Enquiries are continuing into the incident including reviewing any potential CCTV but anyone with information is asked to contact Kent Police on 01795 419119 quoting reference 46/112455/26.
