Doris Innes was attacked outside her home in Plumstead, south-east London, on Wednesday, the Metropolitan Police said. Two other people were threatened with a knife but were not injured, the force added. Giorgio Pin, 62, was arrested around 20 minutes after police were called and has been charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder. Officers were alerted to reports of a man with a knife on Red Lion Place at 8.50am on Wednesday. Ms Innes was found injured outside her home and taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, where she later died of her injuries.
