Passengers from virus-hit cruise ship enter UK and get urgent government message

Two people who returned independently to the UK from the cruise ship that was hit by a fatal hantavirus outbreak have been told to self-isolate, the UK Health Security Agency said. The health body added that "the risk to general public remains very low”. The Government is “working urgently” to support Britons affected by the hantavirus outbreak linked to a cruise ship, officials have said. Some 19 British nationals were listed as passengers on the cruise, which was sailing from Argentina to Cape Verde, with four British crew members. Two Britons, a passenger and a crew member, are among those taken ill in the suspected outbreak, which has been linked to three deaths. This is a Breaking News story.
