The decision was taken at an ECC meeting chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb. The ECC also approved the release of wheat held by the Pakistan Agricultural Storage & Services Corporation Limited (PASSCO), with 85 percent to be sourced locally and 15 percent imported. The committee also approved the import of petroleum products through customs-bonded storage facilities and against the accounts of foreign suppliers. An energy cooperation agreement between Pakistan and Oman was also approved. The ECC approved the formation of a negotiating committee for the redevelopment of the Roosevelt Hotel in New York. It also approved a government guarantee of $153.8 million for an agreement between Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and National Bank. A further Rs.567 million was approved for the Frontier Corps to provide security for the Reko Diq mining project. .post__content img .post__content img
