Projesi'ni okuyucuya sunan "Yeni Altay'ın Bilinmeyen Hikayesi" adlı eserin imza günü gerçekleştirildi. OYAK Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Zekai Aksakallı'nın da katıldığı ve kitabını imzalattığı etkinlik kitapseverlerin yoğun ilgisiyle yaklaşık 4 saat sürdü. Turkuvaz Kitap etiketiyle yayımlanan ve okurların yoğun ilgisiyle kısa sürede 2'nci baskısına ulaşan kitabın imza etkinliğinde Murat Yalçıntaş, projenin görünmeyen kahramanlarına ve yazım sürecine ilişkin önemli değerlendirmelerde bulundu. ​​​​​​​Kritik gelişmelerin ve çıkarılan derslerin gelecek nesillere aktarılmasını amaçlayan eser hem savunma sanayisi profesyonelleri hem de konuya ilgi duyan okurlar için önemli bir kaynak niteliği taşıyor. Açıklamada görüşlerine yer verilen OYAK Genel Müdürü Yalçıntaş, kitabın satışından elde edilecek gelirlerin tamamını Türk Silahlı Kuvvetlerini Güçlendirme Vakfı’na (TSKGV) bağışladığını belirterek, Altay Tankı Projesi'nin Türkiye için taşıdığı stratejik önemi anlattı. Projenin ardındaki büyük fedakarlıklara dikkati çeken Yalçıntaş, "Altay Projesi'nde çalışmaya başladığım zaman birkaç tane noktayı fark ettim. Birincisi, bu projenin Türkiye için ne kadar stratejik ve hayati olduğudur. İkincisi ise bu projeye birçok insanın yıllar boyunca katkı vermiş olmasıdır. Bu insanlar hakikaten isimsiz kahramanlar. Büyük fedakarlıklarla bu projeyi bir noktaya getirmişler, eğer bu yazılmazsa unutulacak bir şeydi. Bunun unutulmasını istemedim." değerlendirmesinde bulundu. Yalçıntaş, hem Altay Tankı'ndan hem muhtelif savunma projelerinden alınan derslerin bir sonraki nesillere aktarılması hem de öğrendiklerinin yazıya dökülmesi için bu kitabı yazdığını kaydederek, "Yeni Altay Tankı’nda binlerce insanın emeği var, bu insanlarımızın alkışlanması gerekir.
