EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s (August 20) episode, which can now be streamed on BBC iPlayer. The episode in question will air at 7:30pm.
Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) was on cloud nine after one true love Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) accepted his proposal of marriage – but little does he know what heartbreak will lie ahead.
The former restaurateur has been determined to win back ex Priya following his return to the Square. Priya, as viewers know, supported Ravi throughout his metal health struggle earlier this year.
After a stay in a mental health facility, where he received a diagnosis of complex PTSD, he returned home and ended things with Priya, who was devastated by the split.
Priya subsequently embarked on an affair with Max Branning (Jake Wood), which has gone on for months.
While Ravi is aware that she’s been seeing someone else, he hasn’t yet twigged that Max – who is engaged to Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) – is the man in question.
The situation was complicated further when Priya discovered she was pregnant.
She initially resolved to have a termination, with Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) offering her support but, after assisting Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) amid a medical emergency, she resolved to keep the baby.
What’s more, Priya came to realise that it’s Ravi she wants to be with and thus, after inviting him over to watch a film with their kids, she asked him to pop the question to her once more.
This time, Priya didn’t hesitate in saying yes.
The couple reunited and shared a kiss in what was a proper magical moment. Well, it would have been if not for the big secret that’s hanging over them.
Priya is hopeful that her baby could still be Ravi’s – the question is: will this prove to be the case? Or is Max the baby’s father?
Either way, Ravi is reportedly leaving the BBC One soap in upcoming scenes, so it’s highly likely that this story will not have a happy ending.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One or stream from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
