Fez – OpenAI has launched a new model, GPT-5.5, describing it as its most advanced system yet for research and complex task execution and positioning it as a step toward more autonomous forms of artificial intelligence.

According to converging reports, the company said the new model introduces a new class of “agentic” AI, designed to handle multi-step and unclear tasks with limited human guidance.
