Napoli have officially announced their signing of centre-back Benoit Badiashile on loan with an option to buy from Chelsea in a deal that could cost the Partenopei an eventual €23m.
Official: Badiashile joins Napoli from Chelsea
“Napoli announced that it has acquired the sporting rights to the player Benoit Badiashile from Chelsea on a temporary basis with a permanent option,” read a statement on the club website.

According to reports from Sky Sport transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli have agreed to pay a fee of €3m to sign Badiashile on loan from the season and that they will have an option to make the transfer permanent for a further €20m.
There have been some conflicting reports on the exact transfer fee, as some outlets in Italy claimed that the buy option could be as high as €27m with various add-ons and bonuses earlier this week.
Badiashile becomes Napoli’s second new first-team signing of the summer transfer window following the arrival of Costantino Favasuli from US Catanzaro earlier this week. The buy options for Rasmus Hojlund, Alisson Santos and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic were also exercised this summer.

Badiashile originally joined Chelsea in a €37m transfer from Monaco in January of 2023. He had made 135 competitive appearances for the Ligue 1 side before turning out on 42 occasions in the Premier League with Chelsea over the last four seasons.
As is customary with Napoli transfers, club President Aurelio De Laurentiis was the first to officially announce the transfer on his social media platforms: “Benvenuto Benoit,” read a post on X.
