Nicola Peltz parts ways with beloved dog rescue charity she launched with a friend after BEGGING people to help support it

Published: 01:32, 28 June 2026 | Updated: 01:54, 28 June 2026 Brooklyn Beckham's wife Nicola Peltz has mysteriously parted ways with the beloved dog foundation she co-founded with a friend – despite repeatedly screaming its praise.  The 31-year-old's name was recently wiped from the Yogi's House website and she has since unfollowed the foundation on social media, the Daily Mail can reveal.  The shock move comes soon after the actress and her billionaire businessman father, Nelson Peltz, suffered legal setbacks in a pair of high profile lawsuits involving her late chihuahua and the family's pit bull.  The dog rescue charity's website now has zero mention of Peltz and only credits her pal, Emma Kenney, as the person who founded it.  In addition to unfollowing the charity, Peltz has removed Yogi's House from her Instagram profile and now just describes herself as a 'dog activist'.  She gave no hint of the reason for the split in a statement to the Daily Mail, but said she was proud of her involvement.  'Nicola is humbled by the work Yogi's House does to support dog welfare in California,' her spokesperson said.  'Nicola is proud to have been a founding partner of Yogi's House and she's currently considering other opportunities to support dog welfare in anyway possible.  Nicola Peltz's name was recently wiped from the Yogi's House website and she has since unfollowed the dog rescue foundation on social media - despite previously shouting its praises Dog-loving duo: Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz were spotted taking their four rescue pups to the groomer in Los Angeles earlier this year 'This is her true passion in life and she will never give up on the dogs.'  Yogi's House, which describes itself on social media as ‘owned & operated by women’ did not respond to a request for comment.   Peltz's sudden disassociation from the foundation is an astonishing turn of events considering how close the LA-based dog rescue center was to her heart. And her work with the charity was listed by husband Brooklyn Beckham as one of the 12 reasons why he turned his back on his ‘controlling’ parents, soccer legend David and former Spice Girl Victoria, in a bombshell statement in January. He claimed that his mother failed to support a GoFundMe page set up to rescue pets affected by the Los Angeles fires and transport them to safe foster homes.  Brooklyn, 27, donated $5,000, as did his mother-in-law Claudia, and Nicola’s brother Zach chipped in $300, with the GoFundMe eventually raising $59,444.  'We've gone out of our way for years to show up and support at every fashion show, every party, and every press activity to show "our perfect family”,' he said in his statement.  Peltz had to retreat with her tail between her legs in May after she ended a two-year legal battle against New York pet groomers, whom she claimed were responsible for the death of her ‘beloved’ chihuahua, Nala Nicola co-founded Yogi's House after she learned a dog named Yogi was threatened with euthanasia because her friend Emma Kenney was caught in traffic on her way to pick it up 'But the one time my wife asked for my mom's support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mom refused.’  The non-profit, which is described as a 'Los Angeles based dog rescue saving lives from euthanasia lists, shelters & the streets’, is not listed on either the State of California register of charities or the IRS equivalent. Peltz has previously enthused about Yogi’s House in interviews.  In March 2023, she told Cosmopolitan how it all began, saying: 'Last year, my publicist Alex Schack and our friend Emma Kenney and I started rescuing dogs from shelters.  'And it’s taken over every single second that I’m not working. It started when Emma was trying to adopt this dog named Yogi, and she posted on Instagram asking for help because she was stuck in traffic and the shelter was going to euthanize him if she was late.  'And I was so shocked. Like, How could you? Are you f***ing crazy? It got us wondering what else that shelter was doing. And we all got together and were like, “We need to stop this. How can we fix it?”  'I knew some shelters are kill shelters, but I had no idea, and maybe this is so ignorant to say, but I had no idea that someone would euthanize a dog just because there’s no space.’  She also admitted to facing backlash on social media for repeatedly advertising the charity's work.  'When I post about Yogi’s House, people get so annoyed with me. I get DMs being like, “We get it. You’re trying to get this dog adopted.” Don’t be mean about it. Help me!’  The dog rescue charity's website, which previously mentioned both Nicola Peltz and her friend, Emma Kenney, has now been scrubbed to remove her name The shock move comes soon after the actress and her billionaire businessman father, Nelson Peltz, suffered legal setbacks in a pair of high profile lawsuits involving her late chihuahua and the family's pit bull Ironically, Peltz gifted the pooch to her father three years ago after rescuing the pit bull at the center of the lawsuit from Yogi's House  Meanwhile, Peltz had to retreat with her tail between her legs in May after she ended a two-year legal battle against New York pet groomers, whom she claimed were responsible for the death of her ‘beloved’ chihuahua, Nala.  She filed a lawsuit against HoundSpa LLC, its owner Deborah Gittleman and groomer Jony Ceballos – but then agreed to permanently discontinue the lawsuit with all parties paying their own costs.  The actress had alleged Ceballos's history of 'intentional and malicious abuse of dogs' caused the death of Nala and that, when she went into their van, she was a 'healthy, happy dog' but returned in 'severe physical distress’.  She doubled down on the allegations in court papers, alleging they were also culpable for the death of her French bulldog Frankie and injuring her brother’s pooch Banksy.  The case, however, was disposed on May 11 by the New York Supreme Court.  Her tycoon father also recently settled a lawsuit with their housekeeper, who was viciously attacked by the family pit bull, Houdini, at their palatial Palm Beach home in 2023.  Nicola's work with the charity was listed by husband Brooklyn as one of the 12 reasons why he turned his back on his ‘controlling’ parents, David and Victoria, in a statement in January  The housekeeper, Mileydis Morejon, alleged she once had to fend Houdini off using a dust stick.
