By ELIZABETH HAIGH, SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 08:29, 20 June 2026 | Updated: 08:58, 20 June 2026 Nicky Campbell's daughter Lilla has been left badly injured after an e-bike hit and run in south London last night. Taking to social media on Saturday, the BBC radio presenter, 65, described a nightmare ordeal for the family after Lilla, 26, was rushed to hospital - only for a man to then expose himself to her as she waited injured in A&E. He said Lilla was struck by the e-bike in Peckham while with her sisters, only for the rider to 'scarper' after a crowd gathered at the scene. She is now at home and recovering, although is 'badly injured', the journalist said. Unfortunately her ordeal was not over after the swift arrival of paramedics, who took Lilla and her sisters to King's College Hospital - only for a 'drunk' man to expose himself to the group. He has since been arrested, Mr Campbell said, as he thanked the Met Police and hospital staff.  Describing a 'long and emotional night', the 5 Live presenter said: 'My daughter Lilla was hit by an e bike hit and run last night in Peckham - hopefully there is CCTV.' Adding that an ambulance arrived at the scene within two minutes of being called, he continued: 'She is badly injured but now at home. It could have been so much worse. We are incredibly lucky.  Nicky Campbell's daughter Lilla has been left badly injured after an e-bike hit and run in south London last night Lilla was taken to hospital where she, her sisters and a friend had a man expose himself to them Nicky Campbell with his daughters, (L-R) Breagha, Lilla, Kirsty and Isla 'Then when she and her sisters and a friend arrived at A&E a drunk entered the trauma room where they were and exposed himself to them.  'The police were there and he has been arrested. The police were magnificent. I spoke to them when I arrived at 3.15am and he is now in custody.  'We all want to say a massive thank you to our amazing police, the wonderful staff at King's College Hospital - nurses and doctors. Calum and the team. From the bottom of our hearts. They were all b****y superb.' It is not thought that the e-scooter rider has yet been arrested.  Lilla is the second of the veteran broadcaster's four daughters, and sister to Breagha, 28, Kirsty, 24, and Isla, 22. He shares his children with his second wife, Tina Ritchie, who he has been married to for nearly 29 years. He previously wed Linda Larnach, who he met while working at Northsound Radio, in 1988.  E-bikes have become a common feature on Britain's streets, but are known for causing havoc - with many crashes. Just this month, teenager Billy Stokoe, 19, was jailed for six years and nine months for killing a great-grandmother while on an e-bike. Stokoe knocked down 86-year-old Gloria Stephenson while high on cannabis and holding his mobile phone in one hand as she crossed the road at a zebra crossing in Sunderland. The pensioner was fit and active and was walking her daughter’s dog as she looked to complete her daily 10,000 steps as part of a strict exercise regimen. After colliding with Ms Stephenson, callous Stokoe retrieved the Sur Ron electric motorbike and sped off, hiding the vehicle in a friend’s home. He was driven to the police station by his mother later that day. The comments below have been moderated in advance.
