Salah adds Liverpool’s second Liverpool 1 Fulham 0 GOAL! Ngumoha with a stunner Fulham team news Wilson starts, Muniz in ahead of Jimenez Liverpool team news Salah and Ngumoha both start Expand all Liverpool supporters sang the names of their departing heroes during this straightforward victory at Anfield, while also getting a glimpse of the future in the prodigious talent of Rio Ngumoha. Thomas Tuchel was asked during the international break about his plans to take Max Dowman, 16, to this summer’s World Cup, yet Ngumoha has put a case together as a wildcard with his breakthrough season. He became Liverpool’s youngest league goalscorer at Anfield with a stunning strike, confusing defenders with step-overs before curling his finish into the bottom corner. He is a fearless attacker with a sense for the big moment; this goal was his second of the campaign after the 100th-minute winner at Newcastle United on August 25 when he was first introduced to the Premier League. Rio Ngumoha scores his FIRST goal at Anfield at just 17 years old!! 🤯 pic.twitter.com/vWLvlZBFyS — Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) April 11, 2026 After arriving for an initial £2.8m from Chelsea’s academy, he has blossomed earlier than expected and will be part of the new era that Virgil van Dijk spoke about earlier this week.  Mohamed Salah added a second goal on his farewell tour before leaving Anfield, while fans serenaded Andy Robertson after it was announced he would also depart in the summer. “Oh Andy Andy” was the first chant. Salah’s famous song, riffed from Sit Down by James, was also heard – but Ngumoha was also the name on the lips of Kopites. Latest reaction below... Latest updates Mike McGrath at Anfield. Alex Connor (live updates) 8:01PM Slot delighted with Ngumoha’s impact Link copied to clipboard Speaking to Sky Sports, Slot said: “One of his strengths is dominating the one-v-one. We’ve seen this season that he gets more and more and more playing time. That’s what he deserves because every time he plays, he does really well. “His influence in the game, like he did today and against Wolves. Today, he even scored a goal which is vital in football because goals matter a lot.” 7:45PM Ngumoha and Robertson react to Liverpool’s win Link copied to clipboard "It's a good feeling and a great feeling..." Two quickfire goals in the first half from Ngumoha and Salah sealed the win, as Liverpool stay fifth, but are now just one point behind fourth-place Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Fulham are 11th and have lost important ground in the race for European football next season. A sensational solo strike from 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha and a goal from Mo Salah on his Anfield return secured all three points for Arne Slot's side 💥 pic.twitter.com/Q5d0jZ4Ev3 — Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) April 11, 2026 7:21PM 90+3 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Fulham swing a corner into the box and Andersen goes down after he’s caught by Gravenberch. It was accidental and the ball had already sailed well over the Fulham captain’s head. 7:19PM 90 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Salah is withdrawn late on and departs to a standing ovation. Anfield rises to salute their Egyptian forward, whose goal put Liverpool into control this evening. There will be four minutes of added time. Liverpool are so close now. Chukwueze’s shot is blocked and the ball falls into Jimenez’s path. The striker takes aim, but fizzes a skimming effort just wide. 7:12PM 83 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Can Liverpool hold on to protect their advantage and preserve their clean sheet? Arne Slot’s Liverpool are closing in on an important three points Credit: Carl Recine/Getty Images Europe 7:09PM 81 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Fulham make a couple late changes as they continue their search for a goal. Jimenez and Chukwueze replace Muniz and Wilson. Liverpool then flood forward and a cross breaks to Mac Allister on the edge of Fulham’s penalty area. The midfielder then slams a powerful strike wide of the post. 7:07PM 78 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard What a miss. Smith Rowe has to score. Iwobi passes to Sessegnon, who fizzes a cross into Smith Rowe. The playmaker is unmarked, and directs a first-time volley wide of the far post from inside the penalty area. That’s Fulham best chance of the match and Smith Rowe has wasted it.  7:04PM 76 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard It’s interesting that Slot chose to take off Ngumoha earlier. Will he give the 17-year-old a start against PSG next week? Fulham fail to clear a Liverpool corner and Leno can only palm it as far as Van Dijk. The Liverpool captain heads the ball back across goal, but Konate can’t quite reach it. 7:01PM 73 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard There’s acres of space for Liverpool on the counter now. Salah clips a fantastic pass over to Gakpo, who drives into the penalty area and cuts inside, but his shot is blocked by the Fulham defence.  7:00PM 71 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Gomez has just entered the action, but he’s sloppy and careless in possession, allowing Berge to pounce. The midfielder tries to play in Muniz, but Van Dijk is there to make a crucial interception. 6:57PM 69 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Slot orders a triple change to introduce some fresh legs. Ngumoha departs to a standing ovation, while Frimpong and Wirtz are also cheered off. Isak, Mac Allister and Gomez are on as their replacements. Silva also makes a change, with Sessegnon on for Robinson. 6:54PM 66 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Fulham are beginning to ask more questions of Liverpool, who have let the momentum slip over the last few minutes. Liverpool are sinking progressively deeper and are inviting pressure.  6:52PM 63 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard What a massive opportunity for Fulham. Wilson swings a corner into the box, and Muniz isn’t tracked, ghosting in at the near post. Somehow, he doesn’t get a clean connection on the header and Liverpool are able to scramble it clear. In a game of few chances for Fulham, the striker has to do better there. 6:49PM 60 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard The next goal in this game is crucial. A third for Liverpool would eradicate any chance of a Fulham comeback. However, a goal for the visitors would set up a very nervy end to the match. 6:47PM 58 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard The Anfield crowd asks for a penalty after Salah’s close range pass strikes Robinson’s arm. However, it’s from point-blank range and his arm was in a natural position.  6:45PM 56 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Wirtz threads a perfectly-weighted pass through to Frimpong, who uses his frightening pace to latch onto it. He runs into Fulham’s penalty area, but cannot find a Liverpool player with his cross. Frimpong has also been outstanding for the hosts in the opening 56 minutes of this encounter. 6:42PM 54 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Ngumoha gets the better of Castagne again as he cuts inside and floats a cross over to Wirtz at the back post. From a tight angle, the German playmaker loops his volley over the bar. In the following Liverpool attack, Ngumoha dances away from Castagne and Lukic, but his shot is straight at Leno, who easily catches it. 6:39PM 51 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Frimpong and Salah combine effectively on the right wing. The full-back then finds Gakpo with a teasing cross. Instead of heading it, the forward takes a touch, allowing a combination of Leno and Andersen to scramble it clear.  6:37PM 49 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Robinson whips a menacing cross into the box, aiming for Muniz at the near post. However, the striker is closely tracked by Konate and cannot get any contact on it. Fulham have made a purposeful start to this second half. 6:36PM 47 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Fulham have the ball in Liverpool’s net as Smith Rowe’s deflected shot falls into Lukic’s path, who swivels inside the penalty area before scoring from close range. However, the offside flag goes up straight away and Liverpool escape unscathed.  6:34PM 46 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard We are back under way for the second half. Jones picked up an injury at the end of the first half, and he’s replaced by Gravenberch. Meanwhile, Fulham make two changes, bringing on Lukic and Smith Rowe for King and Bobb. 6:23PM HT: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Liverpool have jumped into a deserved 2-0 lead over Fulham thanks to fabulous goals from Ngumoha and Salah. Both finishes left Fulham goalkeeper Leno with no chance, and Liverpool are on track to end their run of three consecutive defeats in all competitions. Rio Ngumoha was brilliant in the first half and opened the scoring for Liverpool with a fantastic goal Credit: ASH ALLEN/Shutterstock Editorial 6:14PM 45 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard There is a break in play as Jones is down and receiving treatment. He came off the pitch and now looks ready to re-enter the action. Interestingly, Gravenberch was just about to come on, but Slot hasn’t made the change just yet. Definitely one to watch at half-time. 6:14PM 42 min: Liverpool 2 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Liverpool look motivated and hungry at Anfield today. They’ve dominated the ball, defended diligently, created chances, and scored two very impressive goals.  6:12PM GOAL! Salah adds Liverpool’s second Link copied to clipboard Two goals in a matter of minutes for Liverpool. Once again, Ngumoha travels so effectively with the ball and clips a cross into Gakpo. Facing away from goal, he tees up Salah, who places a clinical first-time strike into the bottom corner from inside the penalty area. "He's still GOT IT!" 🎙️ Mo Salah with a sublime finish to double the Liverpool advantage! pic.twitter.com/TmMNia2MqH — Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) April 11, 2026 6:08PM GOAL! Ngumoha with a stunner Link copied to clipboard It’s a special strike from an exhilarating player. Wirtz passes to Ngumoha, who dribbles at Castagne. He cuts inside of the Fulham defender twice to create some space inside the penalty area before firing a powerful, curling effort into the far corner. Leno has no chance and Anfield rises to a quite brilliant goal. Rio Ngumoha scores his FIRST goal at Anfield at just 17 years old!! 🤯 pic.twitter.com/vWLvlZBFyS — Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) April 11, 2026 6:04PM 33 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Everyone thought that was in! Wilson has been anonymous in these first 33 minutes, but in a split second, he comes alive, dribbling at Robertson, before bending a long range shot which narrowly curls over the bar. Mamardashvili was worried and that’s definitely the closest that Fulham have come to scoring so far.  6:02PM 32 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Ngumoha beats Castagne and clips a cross to the back post. Salah tries to nod the ball into Jones’ path, but Leno comes out and catches from inside the six-yard box.  6:00PM 29 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Castagne does well to dig out a cross for Iwobi, who is just arriving into the penalty area. He’s in acres of space, but takes a poor touch, allowing Liverpool to react and tackle him. Seconds later, Iwobi works some more space and shoots, but his tame effort is easily held by Mamardashvili. 5:58PM 25 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Salah has twice gone close for Liverpool. He can’t get it out of his feet and Berge does well to get back and make the block. 5:54PM Liverpool fans protest against rising ticket prices Link copied to clipboard “No to ticket price increases” reads a banner at the bottom of the Kop, which is applauded around the ground. Fans have been planning a protest after the club announced hikes on season tickets for the next three seasons earlier this week. Fans also tell the club where they can shove their prices, in a not-so polite chant.  Liverpool fans display a banner in protest of ticket price increases Credit: Carl Recine/Getty Images Europe 5:51PM 20 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Fulham stream forward on the counter through Iwobi and Robinson, but the resulting cross doesn’t fall to a white shirt and Konate is able to emerge with possession. At the other end, Gakpo shoots from outside the area, but his powerful effort fizzes wide.  5:47PM 17 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Fulham have been under all the early pressure, but they’re holding firm so far. There are penalty shouts from Liverpool as Bobb bumps into Ngumoha. It was a slightly risky and clumsy challenge. Nevertheless, the referee wasn’t interested at all and Fulham survive. 5:45PM 13 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Frimpong flies forward again and feeds Salah, who fires a strike at goal. Once again, Leno is alert and up to the challenge, making an important save to deny the Liverpool forward. 5:42PM 11 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Salah, Wirtz and Frimpong combine effectively in attack, with the full back crossing for the arriving Robertson, but his low shot is blocked. Liverpool have made a positive start here.  5:40PM 9 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Ngumoha has made a lively start. The youngster uses his acceleration to latch onto Jones’ pass and burst to the byline. However, he can’t quite pick out a Liverpool player with his cross, which Leno catches.  5:38PM 8 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Frantic start to this game. Fulham are pressing Liverpool high up the pitch. You can feel the buzz in the stadium when Ngumoha gets the ball. Frimpong wins a corner, but its cleared by Bassey. 5:35PM 5 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard With Szoboszlai and Jones in the midfield pivot, it’s a very attack-minded Liverpool line-up. Robertson and Frimpong both love to get forward as full-backs as well.  5:33PM 3 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard With Ekitike and Isak on the bench, it looks like Gakpo will start as Liverpool’s central striker. He will be supported on either flank by Salah and Ngumoha, with Wirtz adopting the playmaker role. 5:30PM 1 min: Liverpool 0 Fulham 0 Link copied to clipboard Fulham’s Iwobi gets us under way at Anfield.  5:28PM The teams are walking out Link copied to clipboard Van Dijk and Andersen lead their sides out onto the Anfield pitch. It will be interesting to see the reaction Slot and his team get here. In Paris, Slot felt the support from the stands despite the result against City. That means in-form Harry Wilson is playing against his old team.   4:34PM Slot makes five Liverpool changes Link copied to clipboard Mohammed Salah was an unused substitute in the PSG defeat, but he starts today. Link copied to clipboard Hello and welcome to our coverage of this Premier League match between Liverpool and Fulham at Anfield. Liverpool’s disastrous season has plummeted to new lows in recent games. Last weekend, Arne’s Slot men were demolished 4-0 by a rampant Manchester City side in the FA Cup. This heavy defeat led parts of the away support to chant Xabi Alonso’s name, with the Liverpool legend and former Real Madrid manager fully available this summer. The midweek Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain was also a sobering experience as the reigning European champions cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Liverpool in the French capital. Truthfully, PSG ripped their opponents apart, and Liverpool were lucky to escape the Parc des Princes with just a two-goal deficit. The visitors failed to register a shot on target and painfully lacked confidence, attacking verve and defensive stability. However, Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group believe that Slot deserves to stay in charge despite this chaotic campaign. In the Premier League, Liverpool sit fifth, just a point ahead of sixth-place Chelsea, who play Man City on Sunday. More worryingly for Liverpool, they’re only seven points ahead of Newcastle United, who lie in 13th. If consistency doesn’t improve, Liverpool could miss out on European football altogether, an unthinkable scenario for the club which strolled to Premier League glory last season. Three successive defeats in all competitions have heaped a tremendous amount of pressure on Slot and his players ahead of this game. There was real frustration from Fulham fans as their side crashed out of the FA Cup fifth round, after losing at home to Championship Southampton with a rotated line-up at the start of March. Without the worry of relegation, there were fears that the season could fizzle out, but Fulham are just five points adrift of Liverpool. European football is a realistic possibility, and could be the added motivation to keep Marco Silva at the club. The 48-year-old is out of contract in the summer and hasn’t committed to a new deal at Craven Cottage. Fulham arrive at Anfield with all the pressure on Slot’s underperforming Liverpool side, who play the second leg of their Champions League tie against PSG next week. This is Fulham’s first match back after the recent international break, so they’ll be full of energy and ready to inflict more misery on Liverpool. Kick-off is at 20:00, with lineups on the way shortly.
