Newcastle have offered Fabian Schar a new contract, Eddie Howe says

Fabian Schar, the former Switzerland international, has been offered a new contract by Newcastle United, head coach Eddie Howe said on Friday.Schar, 34, has not played for the club since January after sustaining an ankle injury against Leeds United which then developed an infection that required surgery.
