British holidaymakers heading to southern Italy this summer have a new travel option to explore some of the region's top destinations.
Rail Europe has just added Campania Express to its Italian rail lineup, giving tourists easier access to iconic spots like Pompeii, Herculaneum and the stunning coastal town of Sorrento.
The service runs along the historic Circumvesuviana railway line, linking Naples with key locations across the Campania region.
It will give more options to travellers looking to discover this corner of Italy, which remains one of the most popular destinations booked through Rail Europe.
Chief growth officer at Rail Europe, Robert From, said: "Southern Italy continues to attract travellers from around the world thanks to its unique combination of history, culture, gastronomy and coastal landscapes.
"By adding Campania Express to our portfolio, and making it available through both our agent platform and API, we are giving our partners worldwide an additional option for connecting travellers with some of Campania's most sought-after destinations."
The routes on offer connect Naples with must-see tourist spots, including the ancient ruins at Pompeii and Herculaneum, the charming town of Vico Equense, and the gorgeous Sorrento peninsula.
