Rabat – The National Human Rights Council (CNDH) unveiled on Friday a new AI-powered digital library dedicated to human rights, marking a key highlight of the opening days of the International Publishing and Book Fair.

The initiative is accessible throughout the event at the Council’s “Human Rights Pavilion” and is designed to strengthen public access to human rights knowledge.

The new platform, which will soon be available as both a mobile application and a dedicated website, offers users—including human rights professionals, students, researchers, journalists, and the wider public—direct access to the Council’s extensive body of work. This includes reports, studies, opinions, and recommendations, all made available in a streamlined and user-friendly format.

What distinguishes this digital library is the integration of an interactive artificial intelligence system, allowing users to engage directly with the content. Visitors can ask questions, explore human rights topics in a simplified manner, and receive personalized responses drawn from the Council’s publications. The feature aims to make accumulated human rights knowledge more accessible and closer to citizens.

The pilot version of the application was developed entirely in-house by the Council’s internal teams, reflecting what officials describe as a commitment to digital innovation rooted in national expertise.

Speaking on the occasion, the President of the National Human Rights Council, Amina Bouayach, emphasized that digital innovation is not an end in itself, but rather a tool to bring human rights closer to citizens and strengthen their effective access to rights.

She underlined that while the Council critically examines digital technologies—particularly in terms of their design, use, and potential impact on rights—it also recognizes the opportunities they offer to advance human rights protection and accessibility.

Beyond the AI-powered library, the Council also launched a dedicated application for its “Human Rights Pavilion” program at the fair. The app provides visitors with access to the full schedule of events, introduces speakers and experts, and enables live streaming of conferences and discussions held under this year’s theme: “Culture. Rights. Development.”
