Surrey Police said officers were called to a property in Pyrcroft Road at about 17:40 BST on Thursday, following reports of a concern for someone's safety.The force said online rumours about the incident having taken place at an asylum seeker house of multiple occupancy (HMO) were "incorrect".According to a police spokesperson, the Home Office has confirmed Kerjean legally entered the UK and applied for European Union Settled Status in December 2020.He was granted leave to remain in the UK in March 2021 and received an extension which gave him permission to remain until March 2031.Image source, Peter Stewart/BBCImage caption, Floral tributes were left at the scene on ThursdayThe child is understood to have been known to Kerjean and police say they believe the incident took place "within a family setting"."At this stage, we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident," the police spokesperson said.
