Published: 06:11, 6 April 2026 | Updated: 06:23, 6 April 2026 A Sydney flight attendant known for her 'smile and beautiful soul' has tragically died in an overseas road accident. Lucinta Evans, who was a flight attendant for Virgin Australia, passed away on March 28 in Nadi, Fiji. She'd celebrated her 28th birthday only days earlier. It's understood Ms Evans passed away after being involved in a road accident in Nadi, with flowers seen adorning the side of a road which has now been cornered off with tape. In a funeral notice seen by the Daily Mail, Ms Evans' heartbroken family described her as being 'bold, open and full of life' and asked attendees to wear colourful clothing in a nod to her 'vibrant' personality. 'She was truly full of life, with a light and energy that touched everyone who knew her,' her sister, Gabriana Evans, said in an online post. 'Right now, we are all trying to process this loss and ask for some privacy as we grieve together. 'Thank you for keeping Lucinta, her beloved partner, and our close family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.' A GoFundMe has now been set up to support Ms Evans' family, with a portion of the funds to be used to help prevent future incidents at the location of her death. It comes as Virgin Australia Fijian cabin crew posted a series of heartbreaking tributes to her. 'As your Cabin Manager, I come back to the place where it all happened. I won’t be able to look after you anymore on our flights or anything about work,' Cabin manager, Lissy Hyde, said. 'I ask you to look after us from above. Fly with us my girl, beat us to every destination so we know you’re there. You are loved, and we will continue to live life as bright and loud as you.' She added: 'Wish I was on this trip with her to keep her safe.' Another flight attendant said: 'She will be incredibly missed I’m thinking of our VA Fijian family so much! Losing crew is like losing family and I can’t imagine how you’re feeling but love you all so much.' A former Virgin Australia cabin crew member added: 'Beautiful tribute for an even more beautiful girl. She was the life of the party, main character baddie with the best personality and got along with anyone she crossed paths with! Gone way too soon beautiful Cinta, fly high.'
