وزارت دفاع فرانسه اعلام کرد ۳۵ کشور در یک نشست ویدیویی با محوریت بازگشایی مسیر کشتیرانی در تنگه هرمز مشارکت کردند. در بیانیه فرانسه آمده است که این اقدام می‌تواند شامل اجرای یک ماموریت «کاملا دفاعی» برای اسکورت کشتی‌های تجاری و بازگرداندن آزادی کشتیرانی باشد.
