•Labour MPs are compiling a list of colleagues accused of sexual misconduct to caution Andy Burnham against hiring them.
•The list, containing 30 names, includes several prominent Labour figures and is aimed at preventing past mistakes in government.
•The initiative has faced criticism, with some arguing that complaints should be directed to parliamentary authorities rather than being handled by a small group of MPs.
By CHRISTIAN CALGIE, SENIOR POLITICAL CORRESPONDENT-AT-LARGE Published: 01:37, 10 July 2026 | Updated: 01:46, 10 July 2026 Labour MPs are compiling a list of colleagues mired in impropriety, sleaze and sexual misdemeanour allegations as a warning for Andy Burnham. Yesterday it was revealed MPs, ministers and government special advisers had been putting together the dossier to warn Mr Burnham off giving them jobs in the next government. The list, seen in part by the Daily Mail, includes a number of high-profile Labour figures - including ministers in Sir Keir Starmer's Government. Three Labour women MPs have spearheaded the charge sheet of 30 MPs and peers. One senior Labour source told LBC, who first revealed the plot, that they were 'doing this now to say to Andy, "don't give these people jobs, stay away from them". We don't want to risk the next government making any of the mistakes of previous ones. 'These are people thought to be sex pests, accused of being bullies, being creepy, having dodgy pasts - anyone with inappropriate behaviour.' Yesterday it was revealed MPs, ministers and government special advisers had been putting together the dossier to warn Mr Burnham. He is seen here filming a video after officially nominating himself The latest dossier comes less than four years after Charlotte Nichols, the Labour MP for Warrington North, named 20 colleagues from across parties in an alleged 'sexual harassment list'. Ms Nichols yesterday insisted that the latest finger-pointing was 'nowt to do with me'. While Westminster swirled with gossip yesterday about who is included on the list, one female government source was scathing about the operation, telling the Mail: 'I think it's totally appalling. 'Anyone with a complaint should go to the parliamentary authorities. 'I don't know if any of these people are sex pests, but I don't think it's up to three women to be a unilateral HR system.'المصدر: Daily Mail | Source: Daily Mail
