Morocco Appoints Dalal Menni to Lead Public Policy Evaluation in New Government Role

Fez– The Moroccan government has appointed Dalal Menni as Director General of Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, marking a key step in strengthening the coordination and assessment of public action.

The decision was approved during the Government Council meeting held on Thursday, April 23.

Menni will take up her new role within the Ministry Delegate in charge of Investment, led by Karim Zidane, where she is expected to play a central role in improving how public policies are aligned and evaluated.

Menni brings a strong background in both administration and politics.

She had been serving as chief of staff to the minister since November 2024, a position that placed her at the heart of strategic decision-making.

Before that, she worked within the cabinet of Mohcine Jazouli between 2022 and 2024, after holding a similar position alongside Mohammed Sadiki.

Her experience also extends to political communication.

During the 2021 legislative elections, Menni was one of the official spokespersons of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), a role that further strengthened her public profile.

She remains actively involved in the party’s professional network, particularly among engineers.

Alongside Menni’s appointment, the Government Council approved other nominations in key sectors.

Nadia Akmal was named Director of the Higher Institute of Nursing Professions and Health Techniques in Agadir, while Rachid Tahiri was appointed Director of Environment and Biodiversity at the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development.

While these appointments reflect broader administrative changes, Menni’s new position stands out as a strategic role, placing her at the center of efforts to improve the effectiveness and coherence of public policies in Morocco.
