Moment pedestrian walks across runway before being sucked into Frontier Airlines engine

A suspected trespasser walked calmly across the runway at at Colorado airport before tragically being hit by a Frontier Airlines plane. The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was sucked into one of the engines of the Airbus A321neo as it was taking off at Denver International Airport. The person had jumped the perimeter fence and surveillance footage showed them on the tarmac before being hit. The plane, which was heading to Los Angeles International Airport, “reported striking a pedestrian during takeoff at DEN at approximately 11.19pm on Friday,” according to a post on the airport’s official X account. Passengers were evacuated via slides, and the emergency crew bused them to the terminal. An airport spokesperson said 12 passengers received minor injuries and five were taken to hospitals .
