By SOPHIA STANFORD, NEWS REPORTER Published: 00:27, 22 April 2026 | Updated: 00:27, 22 April 2026 This is the outrageous moment a man was found squashed in a garden box as he attempted to hide from police who had followed him after he crashed his car. Ryan Whitehead had been spotted driving dangerously along the M20 on February 8 this year after he had been in an incident in Dover. While police pursue him, his car then slams into a traffic bollard while trying to overtake a vehicle. Dashcam footage then shows him dramatically careening across the road before ramming into an ivy-covered wall. Within seconds, the yob, who had donned a bright blue Nike tracksuit set, darted out of his car and climbed over another wall in his foiled bid to escape justice. Cops were then seen walking round the side of a house when they then open a slim plastic garden box, where Whitehead is seen uncomfortably hiding, with his head contorted to the side to fit him in. He is then handcuffed and pulled out of his modest hiding space. Kent Police confirmed that Whitehead has since been jailed and disqualified from driving. Earlier this week, a topless suspected drug dealer struggled with plain-clothed police officers trying to arrest him, sending white powder flying in the process. The man, 34, was stopped by officers from the Metropolitan Police outside a Screwfix store in Brixton, south London. Video footage captured by a passerby shows the man rolling around on the floor as he attempted to get away from police just metres from the front entrance to the store. Dressed in just grey jogging bottoms and one shoe, the suspect could be seen struggling to free himself from several police as they attempted to pin him to the ground. But the suspect did not give up, continuing to fight back as one officer attempted to handcuff him. As his arm was slammed to the ground, a bag appeared to burst, spreading a large pile of white powder on the floor in front of him. No comments have so far been submitted.
