Molly-Mae Hague has hit back over the harsh reaction she received following her appearance at Venezuela Fury’s wedding earlier this month.

Speaking in a new YouTube vlog, the 27-year-old former Love Island star addressed the backlash she faced over her outfit choice and hair at the ceremony on the Isle of Man.

“I got severely humbled in the comments,” Ms Hague said while filming from her car.

“Which, to be fair I don't know why I didn't expect.”

The influencer admitted she had a difficult morning processing the negative feedback and said she “spiralled” over the online remarks.

Ms Hague, who is approximately eight months pregnant with her second child, explained that her attendance at the wedding had been uncertain because of how close she is to her due date.

The reality star said she wanted to “honour” her three-year-old daughter Bambi’s role as a bridesmaid and support her partner Tommy Fury’s family.

“Bambi had been asked to be a bridesmaid, and I really wanted to honour that and obviously be there for the family and just show up,” she explained.

Ms Hague said she had told herself she would not worry about her appearance if she managed to attend the wedding before giving birth.

The influencer defended her decision to wear a black jumpsuit with a bodice cut-out, revealing she had made an effort with the outfit and even had it tailored for the occasion.

“Since when is it not acceptable to wear black to a wedding? I genuinely never thought that,” she said.

“I know technically it’s more of a funeral colour, but I just think, as long as it’s not white and it’s smart.”

Ms Hague also addressed criticism of her visible brown roots, explaining she had originally styled her hair in an elegant bun before removing it and slicking it back herself.

“My hair is a whole different conversation at the minute,” she added.

Despite the negative reaction online, Ms Hague insisted she had no regrets about attending the lavish celebration, which allegedly saw around 120 guests gather at the Victorian Royal Chapel of St John’s on the Isle of Man.

She said: “It was such a nice day, and I fear that Bambi will never ever get over it.

"I think she genuinely thought she was in a dream."

Paris Fury, the bride’s mother, praised Ms Hague for attending while heavily pregnant.

“She is incredible. She is being fully supportive,” Ms Fury told The Sun on Sunday.

“I wouldn’t have been able to face that while I was at her term of pregnancy.”

The wedding itself attracted widespread controversy because Venezuela married at 16 on the Isle of Man, where the legal marriage age is lower than in England and Wales.

Critics online branded the teenager a “child bride”, while supporters defended the ceremony as part of Traveller culture and family tradition.

The lavish celebration also made headlines after police arrested a male guest during the reception.

Paris publicly backed the marriage, noting she was also engaged young.
