Welsh Fire hit back, with opener Georgia Voll bringing up a score of 52 from 39 deliveries, while Freya Kemp added a further 39 runs to put pressure back on the visitors, before she was dismissed by a direct hit from Jemimah Rodrigues.
At 80-2, with 41 balls remaining, Welsh Fire looked in control, but Molineux, alongside England's Lauren Bell, spurred her team on to keep the Fire to 118 runs for eight wickets at the end of their innings.
