The Reds were dumped out of Europe on Tuesday after a 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield, suffering a crushing 4-0 aggregate loss to the reigning champions.‌The match was also Salah's last European appearance for the club, with the 33-year-old cutting a dejected figure as he applauded the supporters after the final whistle. The winger made 83 Champions League appearances for Liverpool, netting 47 goals and registering 19 assists.‌Most notably, he netted the winner in the 2019 final against Tottenham Hotspur, while also featuring in the two final defeats against Real Madrid in 2018 and 2022. The crushing loss to the French giants confirmed that Salah's farewell will take place at Liverpool's last home fixture of the season against Brentford in late May.‌While his emotional goodbye will undoubtedly be a momentous occasion next month, it was one Jamie Carragher confessed he had no desire to be part of.
