مناشدة عاجلة للسفارة الأمريكية في اليمن بالتدخل في قضية قتل مواطن أمريكي بعدن

ناشد محامو أولياء الدم للمجني عليه عبدالله قاسم صالح (أنجل)، وهو مواطن أمريكي، السفارة الأمريكية في اليمن، مطالبين مسؤولو السفارة بالتدخل العاجل في قضية تمس حقوق مواطن أمريكي وتعبر عن انتهاك لمبادئ العدالة والإنصاف.

وأوضح محامو اولياء الدم ان المواطن الأمريكي عبدالله قاسم احمد تم اغتياله في عدن بتاريخ 24 يونيو 2024. وقد تم القبض على المتهمتين في القضية والذي من ضمنهم المتهمتين شادية ويسرى عبدالله قاسم، وتقديمهما للعدالة. ومع ذلك، تم الإفراج عنهما بشكل مفاجئ وغير قانوني، مما يمثل خرقاً للإجراءات القانونية، حيث سافرتا إلى خارج البلاد دون أي توجيه قضائي صادر من المحكمة التي تنظر القضية وهو ما يشكل تهديدًا لحقوق أولياء الدم ويعكس انتهاكًا لسيادة القانون.

في ظل هذه الظروف، يناشد محامو أولياء الدم السفارة الأمريكية بما يلي:

– الضغط على الجهات المعنية في اليمن لإعادة احتجاز المتهمتين شادية ويسرى عبدالله قاسم.
– المطالبة بفتح تحقيق عاجل وشفاف في واقعة الإفراج غير القانوني عن المتهمتين.
– متابعة سير القضية لضمان تحقيق العدالة وعدم إفلات الجناة من العقاب.
– دعم أسرة المجني عليه وحماية حقوقهم القانونية.

Urgent appeal to the US Embassy in Yemen to intervene in the case of killing of a US citizen in Aden

Lawyers for blood guardians of the victim Abdullah Qasim Saleh (Angel), a U.S. citizen, appealed to the U.S. Embassy in Yemen, calling on embassy officials to intervene urgently in a case that violates the rights of a U.S. citizen and violates principles of justice and fairness.

Lawyers for the blood guardians explained that the American citizen Abdullah Qasim Ahmed was assassinated in Aden on June 24, 2024. The two defendants in the case, including Shadia and Yusra Abdullah Qasim, were arrested and brought to justice. However, they were abruptly and unlawfully released, in breach of due process, as they travelled out of the country without any judicial directive from the court hearing the case which poses a threat to the rights of blood guardians and reflects a violation of the rule of law

Under these circumstances, Blood Guardians lawyers appeal to the U.S. Embassy to:

Pressure on the relevant authorities in Yemen to re-arrest the accused Shadia and Yusra Abdullah Qasim.
Demand an urgent and transparent investigation into the unlawful release of the accused.
Follow up the progress of the case to ensure justice and that perpetrators do not go unpunished.
Supporting the victim’s family and protecting their legal rights.
