'Missing millionaire' who bought winning ticket months ago FINALLY comes forward

A EuroMillions player from County Tyrone has stepped forward to collect a £1million prize from the Millionaire Maker draw held on April 24.

The winner secured the life-changing sum by matching the unique code MBGT03608 on their ticket.

Allwyn, which operates The National Lottery, has confirmed the claim is now being processed.

The prize will undergo standard validation checks before any payment is made, ensuring compliance with Games Rules Terms and Conditions and protecting the lottery's integrity.

Following successful validation, the ticket-holder will meet with one of Allwyn's Winners' Advisers to receive their winnings.

Whether the prize belongs to an individual or a syndicate remains unknown, as does the specific purchase location of the winning ticket.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners' Advisor at Allwyn, expressed his delight at locating the previously unclaimed prize winner. "We're delighted to have been able to track down our missing winner. What a brilliant win for this lucky player – just imagine the incredible summer this winner has ahead," he said.

Mr Carter added: "We'll now support the ticket-holder through the process so they can begin to enjoy their life-changing win."

The winner will have the option to publicise their good fortune or remain anonymous once the validation and payment process concludes.

No further details about the ticket-holder will be disclosed unless they choose to share their story publicly.

Matt Cole, 41, and his fiancée Courtney Cockerton, 27, discovered their fortune after Matt purchased a Lucky Dip ticket online and matched the UK Millionaire Maker code.

The windfall came during an exceptionally tough period for the family, whose newborn son Rupert underwent a five-hour operation at just 12 weeks old to repair a cleft lip and palate.

"It's been a really difficult few months," said Mr Cole, who works as a quality assurance tester in insurance. "We knew before Rupert was born that he would need surgery, but nothing can truly prepare you for seeing your baby go through a five-hour operation at such a young age and having to stay in hospital overnight."

The family has wasted no time making plans for their unexpected fortune, with a trip to Disneyland Paris topping the list for their two-year-old daughter Ivy.

"We've always dreamt of taking her to Disneyland Paris and seeing her face light up when she meets her favourite character....Now, thanks to this incredible win, that's the first thing on our list," Ms Cockerton said.

Instead of their regular journeys to Evelina London Children's Hospital for Rupert's appointments, the family of four will soon be boarding a Eurostar at St Pancras International bound for the French theme park.

A new home and car are also among their intended purchases.

Mr Cole recalled his astonishment upon discovering the win, admitting he verified the result repeatedly before accepting it was real.

"Through everything that has been happening, I still managed to find time to buy a EuroMillions Lucky Dip ticket," he laughed.
