Misdemeanor charge against L'Jarius Sneed dismissed, lawsuit remains ongoing

The Dallas County (Texas) District Attorney’s office dismissed a misdemeanor charge against former Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed on Friday, his attorney, Michael J. Todd, said in a statement obtained by The Athletic on Tuesday.Sneed was indicted in November on a misdemeanor charge of failing to report a felony stemming from an incident involving an alleged shooting in December 2024. Sneed was originally charged with aggravated assault, which the grand jury reduced to a misdemeanor offense of failing to report the commission of a felony. Though the charge against Sneed was dismissed, a civil lawsuit regarding non-collision damages stemming from the same incident will go to trial June 8, according to Dallas County court records.Advertisement
