Minnows Cape Verde to make World Cup debut in striking new jerseys

One of the smallest nations in World Cup history unveiled its kits for the 2026 tournament on Monday.Cape Verde, a nation of 10 islands off the coast of Africa, will make its World Cup debut wearing either a home blue or away white kit designed by American sportswear company Capelli Sport.The shirts feature a triangular pattern that is a “direct replica of the flight patterns between the islands.” Cape Verde’s crest, featuring a blue shark called Tubarão Azul also stands out on the kits.Advertisement
