Midwest woman, 37, filmed herself sexually assaulting two babies - then emailed prosecutors offering to turn herself in, cops say

By LAURA PARNABY, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 14:03, 7 July 2026 | Updated: 14:18, 7 July 2026 A Minnesota woman faces child sex abuse charges after sending attorneys a harrowing video of herself assaulting two female toddlers, prosecutors said.  Kimberly Faith Christy, 37, has been detained on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of using a minor in a sexual performance.  Christy, of Moorhead, located close to the North Dakota border, allegedly sent a self-incriminating email to the Clay County Attorney's Office on June 28.  She wrote a message saying: 'I want to turn myself in for what I have done' and attached a QR code to a Google Photos account, according to Valley News Live.  Investigators said the link led to four videos and two photographs depicting sexual abuse of two girls. Two videos dated March 2018 show a child aged between six months and two years old, according to prosecutors. Another two videos dated November 2013 show a nude infant girl, according to court documents seen by Valley News Live. The victim's age was not disclosed.  Court documents also describe two photographs, including one showing a child under the age of three. The victims were described as 'infants' with at least one younger than two years old Christy, of Moorhead, located close to the North Dakota border, allegedly sent a self-incriminating email to the Clay County Attorney's Office on June 28 Christy admitted in an interview with detectives to sexually assaulting both children shown in the videos, police said.  She appeared somber in her police booking photograph.  If convicted, Christy faces up to 30 years in prison and a $40,000 fine on each count of sexual conduct under Minnesota law.  She also faces up to 10 years and a $20,000 fine on each count of using a minor in a sexual performance. Christy is being held at the Clay County Jail ahead of trial.
