Middle East travellers can now search flights via Skyscanner's ChatGPT integration

Skyscanner, the global travel search platform, has officially launched its ChatGPT app for travellers in the Middle East, changing how users can search for flights through conversational AI.

The new Skyscanner integration in ChatGPT enables Middle East travellers to find and compare flight options using natural language queries. Users can simply integrate the app from the ChatGPT App store and begin searching by typing commands like "@skyscanner find me the cheapest flight to New York in December" to receive instant, visually displayed flight results.

The integration transforms traditional flight search into an intuitive conversation. Travelers can easily compare flight prices, adjust travel dates, or switch airports through simple messages, combining Skyscanner's results with ChatGPT's conversational interface.

"We've been at the forefront of cutting-edge flight search, ensuring that travellers have all the right tools to reduce friction and give them more confidence to find the right flight for them," said Piero Sierra, Skyscanner's Chief AI Officer, in a press release. "Travellers in the Middle East can now access the Skyscanner app in ChatGPT to search for the best options and flight prices for their trip."

AI-Powered travel tools

Skyscanner is simultaneously deploying AI across multiple touchpoints of the traveler journey. The company has integrated AI-powered chatbots for car hire and hotel bookings on its platform, delivering faster, more personalised recommendations.

The innovative 'Football Flight Finder' tool helps fans planning World Cup trips by simplifying multi-city travel, showing best-value routes, and will even track fare drops as fixtures are released.
