A yellow rain and snow warning for parts of central and north-west Scotland is in place from 3pm on Saturday (April 4) until 6am on Sunday. Snow is forecast across the Highlands and Na h-Eileanan Siar. In its warning, the Met Office said: "A combination of heavy rain, and snow over higher ground, may lead to some disruption in association with Storm Dave."‌The forecaster said rain moving in from the south on Saturday afternoon is likely to turn to sleet and snow over higher ground as it meets colder air across central and north-west Scotland. Snow could become heavier during the evening, with blizzard-like conditions likely as winds pick up.
