Mbappe Consults Moroccan National Team Doctor to Diagnose Knee Injury
Rabat – French international Kylian Mbappe, has consulted the Moroccan national team’s doctor Christophe Baudot for help diagnosing his knee injury, after reportedly losing confidence in Real Madrid’s medical staff.
According to L’Équipe, the striker personally asked Real Madrid President Florentino Perez to discontinue treatment with the club’s medical staff, and instead to be treated by Christophe Baudot the Moroccan national team’s doctor.
Mbappe’s saga continues after his club’s medical team mistakenly examined his right knee, while his injury was on his left.
The choice in Baudot is not random for the striker. Baudot and Mbappe worked together for a long time at Paris Saint-Germain, until his departure from the club in 2023. He later became the doctor for the Moroccan national team. Baudot oversaw Achraf Hakimi’s recovery after his ankle injury that he sustained against Bayern Munich on February 14, 2023.
The change comes at a time when Real Madrid have made several changes to their medical staff, raising concerns on recurring challenges related to players injury within the Royal club.
Despite this, Real Madrid have had a strong season, securing key matches and advancing in the UEFA Champions League, with Mbappe leading the attack with impressive goal tallies.
