By JOE HUTCHISON, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 14:21, 30 July 2026 | Updated: 14:21, 30 July 2026 A federal prison guard who had a sexual relationship with an inmate feared her baby would be a different race to her husband following a pregnancy scare, court papers claimed. Jordan Pensak, 27, was charged this week with sexual abuse of a person in custody while working at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey. Federal authorities claimed in a criminal complaint that Pensak engaged in a relationship with the unidentified prisoner after she started working in his unit in 2024. The two had engaged in an affair for over a year with Pensak even saying over text that she feared the inmate had impregnated her, the complaint said. In the messages, Pensak hinted at being married and told another unidentified individual that she was worried the race of the baby was different from her partner. The complaint also claimed that Pensak and the inmate had sex several times inside an office while the inmate paid other cons to act as lookouts. A summons filed against Pensak said the two exchanged over 100 sexually explicit messages, photos and videos. The alleged relationship is said to have happened inside the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey Her phone was seized earlier this year where authorities claimed they uncovered messages to other inmates in which she admitted to the tryst. The complaint said that the two exchanged messages over Instagram, with Pensak also accused of using the social media platform to talk with other inmates. She appeared in federal district court in Camden on Tuesday and was released on bail, the US Attorney's Office for New Jersey said. Pensak faces a maximum of 15 years in prison if convicted, the office said in a press release. 'The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty,' it added. The Daily Mail has contacted her attorney for comment.المصدر: Daily Mail | Source: Daily Mail
