Man is charged with murder after woman is found dead in a Windale home after alleged domestic violence attack

Emergency services found the woman, aged in her 40s, at a property on Merrigum Street in Windale, Lake Macquarie, after 8pm on Saturday. Police had been responding to reports of a concern for welfare. Paramedics attempted to treat the woman, but she could not be revived. A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Belmont Police Station where he was charged with murder (DV).
