Man arrested after car hits pedestrians in UK's Derby, several injured —what we know so far

A man has been arrested after a car hit multiple pedestrians in Derby city centre, leaving several people injured, some seriously. Derbyshire Constabulary said the incident involved a black Suzuki Swift and took place on Friar Gate. Police have ruled out any ongoing risk but continue to investigate, while local MP Catherine Atkinson said she was “deeply shocked” by the incident.
