An unknown man also reportedly entered the car, which drove to The Volunteer pub on London Road North.It's been reported that the woman and the man both got out of the taxi and walked towards Milton Road East, where the man then led the woman into an alleyway near to the junction of Arnold Street shortly after midnight. It's been alleged that he sexually assaulted her, then ran off down London Road North, and turned into Gordon Road.Suffolk Police confirmed that "the victim is being assisted by specialist officers".In a statement, Suffolk Police said: "Police have today arrested an 18-year-old man from Lowestoft on suspicion of rape. He has been taken to Great Yarmouth Police investigation Centre where he will be questioned.Article continues below"A police scene is currently in place and the local community can expect to see an increased police presence in and around the area.
