Major incident is declared at retail park McDonald's as five are rushed to hospital

Two air ambulances landed near Mostyn Champneys retail park in Llandudno after medics were called at 10.52am to an 'incident'.  Ambulances and police cars remain at the scene near the McDonald's restaurant on the retail park. There is also a police cordon in place. A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: 'We were called today at 10.52 to an incident in Mostyn Champneys Retail Park, Llandudno. 'We sent one Cymru High Acuity Response Unit, one Duty Operations Manager and three emergency ambulances to the scene. 'Advanced critical care support was delivered by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service in two Wales Air Ambulance charity helicopters. 'Five patients were conveyed by road to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.' Police erected a cordon around the scene in Llandudno as officers and ambulances remained at the scene The emergency services presence centred around the McDonald's on the retail park Five were rushed to hospital and two air ambulances landed nearby According to the Daily Mirror, the incident did not involve the McDonald's but did take place nearby.  The Daily Mail contacted North Wales Police for comment.
