Polzeath and Bostcastle Coastguard Rescue Teams, an HM Coastguard Helicopter and RNLI lifeboats from Padstow and Rock were all dispatched to Greenaway beach at 4.35pm.‌Devon and Cornwall Police say the man remains missing, with searches in the area ongoing.‌A second man was also reported to have gone into the water, but recovered himself back to land safe and well, reports Cornwall Live.A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: "A report of concern was made at about 4.35pm on 19 April about a man in the water near Greenaway beach, Polzeath.‌View 2 ImagesGreenaway beach, Polzeath(Image: Western Morning News)"HM Coastguard sent Polzeath and Boscastle Coastguard Rescue Teams, an HM Coastguard Helicopter, and RNLI lifeboats from Padstow and Rock."A second man also reported to have gone into the water recovered himself to land safe and well.
