Almost 550,000 vehicles are being recalled by the Blue Oval, according to fresh documents listed with the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Certain 2018-2024 Expedition vehicles are being recalled as the chrome plating on the centre console may bubble and peel, which can result in sharp edges.
The NHTSA has warned that vehicle occupants may contact the centre console, increasing the risk of an injury.
To remedy the issue, dealers will inspect the centre consoles as necessary and replace them if there is an issue. This will be free of charge.
Ford has issued a second significant recall with the NHTSA impacting 255,000 Focus models produced between 2012 and 2018.
It has warned that certain vehicles may have been repaired incorrectly under recall number 18V735, amid engine fears.
Documents state that the Canister Purge Valve (CPV) may malfunction, causing the engine to stall unexpectedly while driving.
Given the increased risk of an accident, dealers will update the powertrain control module (PCM) software for free.

Chrysler
The popular American brand is recalling 17,277 Pacifica plug-in hybrid vehicles (2020-2022) for a rare fire risk warning.
It warns that the battery pack could cause a car fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition off.
Owners of these vehicles are advised not to charge their vehicles, with Chrysler instructing them to "park outside and away from structures" until a repair has been completed.
The high-voltage battery pack control module software will be updated, in addition to an inspection and potential replacement of the battery pack assembly.
Kia
More than 6,000 Kia Telluride and Telluride hybrid models from production year 2027 are being recalled as the seat belt strap may not extend. This could fail to restrain an occupant in an accident, dramatically increasing the risk of an injury.
Documents state: "The driver seat belt emergency locking retractor may lock, causing the seat belt strap not to extend.
"As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 209 (Seat Belt Assemblies)."
