Maine driver shot and killed by ICE after trying to run over agents with his car, eyewitness says

By WILL POTTER, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 15:27, 13 July 2026 | Updated: 15:29, 13 July 2026 A driver has been shot dead by ICE officers in Biddeford, Maine after allegedly trying to mow down agents with his car.  The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was shot dead Monday morning after witnesses said he accelerated at agents at an intersection.  Details of the fatal shooting are still developing, however Maine's House Speaker Ryan Fecteau said in a statement: 'A person was killed. ​ICE was involved.' 'State Police and the Department of Public ​Safety are now on scene to gather details and would expect the FBI to investigate as well,' said Fecteau. 'These are the details that I have at this time. I will provide further updates, as they are relayed to me.'  Witness Lucas Scott, 18, told the Press Herald that he was driving through the intersection when he saw unmarked vehicles flashing sirens.  He said he saw a group of agents in ICE uniforms confronting a vehicle, and when he looked at the driver he saw an agent pull his weapon and order him to exit his car.
