Luke Littler 'sick' of Mo Farah viral marathon challenge - 'I'd walk it'

Luke Littler says he's had enough of the online debate about him taking on Mo Farah in a half‑marathon, insisting he would back himself to beat the Olympic legend. The London Marathon last weekend, which featured Farah, Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel and ex‑Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey , has sparked discussion about how other major sports stars might fare in a big race. The proposed half‑marathon would require both men to stop at every mile marker and complete a 501 checkout across the 13.1‑mile route. This would come down to Farah's ability to check out 501 and whether the regular stops would give Littler enough time to catch the Olympian. Giving his thoughts on the hypothetical contest, Allen added: "This is probably the best question I've been asked in my entire life. Mo Farah, maybe a 4.15/4.20 mile average, Luke Littler 12,13,14 minutes. "Could Mo Farah take a 501 out in eight minutes, 13 times on the bounce? It'll all come down to the doubles because you can chip away at that 501 no problem." Allen later revealed he was still waiting on a response from Farah, while fans on social media offered arguments for both sports stars. One wrote: "Littler by a country mile. He could walk it in about three and a half hours. Mo would still be throwing at double one on the fifth mile at that point, head completely gone, probably crying." Another disagreed, claiming: "Can't see littler going 13 miles without walking it. No way is he going to run 12 min miles for 13 miles. Mo would have a lot more time that. Still comes down to the doubles but he would have all day to hit them." A third observed: "Littler does a leg of darts in a minute. If Mo never actually played darts before it could easily take 25 to 30 minutes per leg, if not longer. Especially if he has to do the maths by himself. Walking speed could be enough for Littler." Littler is back in Premier League Darts action on Thursday night in Aberdeen, where he will look to win for a second successive week after defeating Jonny Clayton 6-1 in last week's final in Liverpool .
