The new pointing device goes beyond simple controls to move back and forth through a presentation. It’s the first device of its type to have built-in guided breathing exercises as well as an intuitive, force-sensitive highlighting button with subtle haptic feedback. The Spotlight 2 is designed to bolster a speaker’s confidence before they go on stage. It has an indentation so users can find the place to put their thumb just by feel. The Spotlight 2 also lets the presenter highlight details on a slide easily and naturally while staying focused on the audience. To prepare for presenting, the device creates soft haptic pulses to help the presenter calm and regulate their breathing. “Whether a speaker presents daily or is taking the stage for the first time, nerves are natural,” says Joseph Mingori, VP and general manager at Logitech. “Spotlight 2 is designed to be the steadying anchor in these stressful moments.
