L'Arabie Saoudite apparaît à ce jour comme une hypothèse crédible pour la suite de la carrière de Mohamed Salah. Mais, Jamie Carragher le voit plutôt rester en Europe.

"Je l'imagine bien en Italie, dans un grand club. Je pense que sa carrière sera terminée une fois qu'il sera parti en Arabie saoudite. Il sera sans doute encore obsédé par son palmarès en Ligue des Champions et le nombre de buts qu'il peut marquer. Je pense qu'il se dit encore qu'il est l'un des meilleurs joueurs, et que son départ maintenant ne signifie pas la fin de sa carrière au plus haut niveau", a confié la légende des Reds dans le podcast The Overlap.
