Multiple police cars, matrix vans and two fire engines can be seen lining the street in images captured at the scene, while heavily armed officers from Merseyside police descended on the street. Merseyside Police said: "We are in attendance on Seel Street, Liverpool this evening (Saturday 9 May) as part of enquires to locate a man who had been reported missing." It said: "We are in attendance on Seel Street, Liverpool this evening (Saturday 9 May) as part of enquires to locate a man who had been reported missing. "We were called shortly after 4pm to a report the man had been seen in the area.Upon arrival, threats were made by the man to officers from inside a hotel room on Seel Street and officers have put a containment in place as a precaution while they engage with the man.
