Ligue 1 : Lens - PSG reporté ! (Officiel)

La Ligue de football professionnel a tranché : le choc entre RC Lens et le Paris Saint-Germain est officiellement reporté. Initialement prévu le 11 avril, ce sommet de Ligue 1 se jouera finalement le 13 mai afin de permettre au club parisien d’aborder dans les meilleures conditions son quart de finale de Ligue des champions face à Liverpool FC.

Une décision qui fait polémique

Dans son communiqué, la LFP justifie ce choix stratégique :

« Ces décisions s’inscrivent dans la ligne stratégique forte du conseil d’administration de permettre à la France de conserver sa cinquième place à l’indice UEFA, qui permet d’obtenir quatre places en UEFA Champions League ».

Une orientation assumée, malgré l’opposition du club lensois, qui dénonçait un déséquilibre sportif.

Du côté parisien, Luis Campos a défendu cette position :

« Le report de Lens-PSG présente des avantages, non seulement pour le PSG, mais aussi pour le football français (…) Nous n'avons rien contre Lens. La question est d'être dans les meilleures conditions pour bien représenter la France en Europe ».

Un argument qui ne suffit pas à apaiser une polémique désormais bien installée.
