The Oasis frontman, 53, paid £250,000 less than the asking price for the stunning eight-bedroom home in Coates, near Cirencester, land registry documents reveal today. Gallagher's new mansion is set within five acres and comes with its own swimming pool, tennis court and, if brother Noel wanted to stay, a separate two-bed cottage. Fresh off ending his 15-year feud with Noel to pave the way for a sensational Oasis reunion tour last summer, Gallagher appears to be following in the footsteps of the rich and famous settling down in the sleepy Cotswolds. In recent years, the Cotswolds has become a countryside playground for A-listers including the Beckhams, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Kate Moss and Hugh Grant. 'To all the BEAUTIFUL people from the Cotswolds, I come in peace,' Gallagher declared in January. 'You won't even know I'm there, I'm not like all those divvy celebrities who like to show off I'm LO FI as you were, LG x.'  It was a suspiciously mild-tempered tweet for the 'hellraiser' Oasis rockstar known for his erratic social media posts over the years.  Gallagher appears keen to get off on the right foot with the Coates villagers, who have a history of engaging new arrivals in property disputes. They immediately launched plans to build 24 houses and a village hall - but were later withdrawn after fierce outcry from locals. Once famed for its sleepy lanes, rolling hills and honey-coloured villages, the Cotswolds has in recent years reinvented itself as a billionaire's playground. A-list names have poured in, with Sir David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres all snapping up grand homes - earning the Cotswolds the nickname 'new Hollywood'. Beyoncé and Jay-Z were even poised to purchase a country retreat there at the start of the year, but reportedly abandoned their plans after discovering the land was prone to flooding.  Mr Gallagher's new sprawling Dockem House sits within five acres of Cotswolds countryside and previously belonged to Arsenal icon Tony Adams.  The property boasts an array of amenities, including a swimming pool, tennis courts, stables, and a two-bedroom cottage. The house sits just on the edge of Coates, which has a population of around 500 to 600 people. The interior is said to provide 'versatile entertainment spaces for every occasion'.
