By EMMA RICHTER, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 20:44, 8 June 2026 | Updated: 20:44, 8 June 2026 Tennis icon Martina Navratilova was left repulsed by a man who wore a children's diaper to what was supposed to be a pride event 'where all ages are welcome.' The Czech-American athlete, who openly came out at lesbian in 1981, reacted to the image of the unknown man on Monday morning after the organization Gays Against Groomers shared the bizarre image on X the day prior.  The picture, which was taken at PrideFest Milwaukee, depicted a man wearing skinny jeans with a hole cut out on his backside and covered with a kid's diaper filled with cartoons on it.  'This is exactly why Pride Fest is not for kids or sane gay adults anymore,' the far-right group posted.  'A grown man wearing a diaper with little kid cartoon characters was spotted at Milwaukee’s Pride Fest where all ages are welcome. @mkepride.'  Navratilova, 69, then reposted the image alongside three flushed face emojis, seemingly shocked and uncomfortable by the moment.  The tennis star wasn't the only one left disgusted by the man's outfit choice, as the post sparked a slew of negative reactions.  One X user wrote: 'This crosses a line. Your kink should stay at home!!!'  Tennis icon Martina Navratilova shared her disgust after a man showed up to a pride event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, wearing a children's diaper  Navratilova (pictured in July 2025) has long been known as an LGBTQ+ advocate and pioneer, but she has made he stance clear on certain issues, including the topic of transgender women in female sports 'With the seat of his jeans cut away as well to show off his disgusting nappy. Filthy perverted b******,' another commented.  'Absolutely absurd and ridiculous,' someone else chimed in while another called the man a 'disgusting creature.'  Navratilova has long been known as an LGBTQ+ advocate and pioneer, but she has made he stance clear on certain issues, including the topic of transgender women in female sports.  In a recent interview with Outkick, which is owned by Fox News, the three-time Olympic gold medalist called out her long-time tennis opponent, Billie Jean King, after she publicly supported trans-identifying people participating in women's sports.  King told The Telegraph in 2025 that the transgender-athlete debate is 'a nightmare' and that people should hear out transgender people so they don't feel left out.  Her stance did not sit well with Navratilova, especially because she said King previously acknowledged the physical differences between women and men.  When asked about the apparent contradiction, Navratilova told Outkick: 'I honestly don't know because it doesn't square.'  In opposition to King's stance on transgender women in sports, Navratilova said: 'That's not equality. That's a total takeover.'  Navratilova, who is married to her former model wife Julia Lemigova (pictured together), also previously backed USA Powerlifting's decision to reject a transgender weightlifter from competing in the women's division She further told the outlet: 'The solution is obvious. No male bodies in women’s sports and no male bodies in women's sex-based spaces for many different reasons, not the least of which is women’s rights to safety, dignity and fairness and privacy.' Navratilova, who is married to former model Julia Lemigova, also previously backed USA Powerlifting's decision to reject a transgender weightlifter from competing in the women's division.  JayCee Cooper sued USA Powerlifting in 2021 for rejecting her for a 2018 competition on the grounds that she enjoys strength advantages over other women.  Cooper ended up reaching a settlement with the organization after the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled that USA Powerlifting violated the powerlifter's rights by barring her from female competitions.  But Navratilova was not on Cooper's side after she and 83 female athletes supported the group's position.
